Privacy Policy

Updated: May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DailyHero handles personal data. It is written as the main English version. Translations should keep the same meaning.

DailyHero is an app for families. A parent or guardian can create tasks, review completed tasks, manage points, and set up rewards for children. The app can also be used for simple personal task planning.

If you use DailyHero, you confirm that you have read this Policy. If you create or manage a child profile, you also confirm that you are the child’s parent or guardian, or that you have the right to manage that profile.

1. Who we are

DailyHero is provided by:

For privacy questions or data requests, contact us at support@dailyhero.ink.

2. What this Policy covers

This Policy covers:

  • the DailyHero iOS app;
  • account creation and sign-in;
  • family profiles and child profiles;
  • tasks, points, rewards, approvals, and related activity;
  • support messages and privacy requests;
  • technical data needed to keep the app working.

3. Parents, guardians, and children

The main account is intended for an adult account owner. Child profiles are created and managed by the account owner.

A child should use DailyHero only with permission from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly allow a child to create the main account.

If you believe that a child profile or child data was created without proper permission, contact us at support@dailyhero.ink and we will review the request.

4. Data we collect or store

We collect or store only the data needed for the app to work.

Account data

  • account identifiers;
  • sign-in data from Sign in with Apple;
  • email address if Apple provides one, including an Apple relay email;
  • technical identifiers needed for account access and sync.

Profile and child profile data

  • profile display name;
  • profile date of birth;
  • profile technical identifier;
  • data needed to link a child profile to a device or account.

Profile names are user-created labels. They do not need to be real names.

App content and activity

  • tasks, rewards, points, approvals, rejections, and completion status;
  • activity history connected to those features;
  • app settings;
  • timestamps and technical status data.

Notifications

  • whether notifications are enabled;
  • local reminder time and notification settings.

The current version uses local iOS notifications on the user’s device. It does not use remote push notifications.

Support and privacy requests

  • messages sent to support;
  • account deletion requests;
  • requests to access, correct, export, or delete data;
  • status and handling history for those requests.

Technical data

  • app version and operating system information;
  • technical logs and error logs;
  • security and diagnostic information needed to protect and operate the service.

Usage data

We may collect non-personal information about how the app is used, such as when the app is opened, session duration, interactions with core features, and general usage statistics. This information helps us improve the app, the user experience, and reliability.

We do not ask for profile photos, biometric data, precise location, or advertising identifiers.

5. Why we use the data

We use data to:

  • create and maintain accounts;
  • provide tasks, rewards, points, approvals, and family profiles;
  • sync data across devices;
  • link a child profile to a child device when the account owner chooses to do this;
  • send local reminders if the user enables them;
  • answer support and privacy requests;
  • keep the app secure, reliable, and abuse-resistant;
  • meet legal obligations where they apply.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Where the GDPR or similar privacy law applies, we usually process data because:

  • it is needed to provide the app features requested by the account owner;
  • we have a legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and reliable;
  • we need to handle legal or privacy-related requests;
  • the user has given consent, if a future feature clearly asks for consent.

If a future feature needs separate consent, the app or website will ask for it separately.

7. Sharing data with service providers

We share data only when needed to provide and operate DailyHero.

The main service providers are:

  • Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store, and iOS platform services;
  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database storage, backend logic, hosting, analytics, and infrastructure;
  • Telegram for internal notification to the controller when a privacy request is created.

We may also share data if required by law or to protect the service, users, or our rights.

8. International transfers

Some providers may process data in countries different from the user’s country. By default, the main app database is hosted in the europe-west1 region, but providers such as Apple, Google, and Telegram may process some data elsewhere.

Where privacy law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on available legal safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, provider data-processing terms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. How long we keep data

We keep data only for as long as needed for the app, support, security, legal obligations, or request handling.

In general:

  • account and family data are kept while the account is active;
  • deleted accounts or profiles may first enter a recovery period of up to 30 days;
  • after the recovery period, data is removed from active systems;
  • backup copies may remain for a limited time until automatic rotation;
  • privacy request records may be kept longer to show how the request was handled;
  • security or legal records may be kept longer where necessary.

10. Choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access your data;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete data;
  • receive a copy of data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • complain to a data protection authority.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another place with a similar right, you may complain to a competent data protection authority, especially in the country where you live, work, or believe your rights were affected.

You can use the in-app tools where available or contact support@dailyhero.ink. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner or another person with the right to make the request.

11. Parent controls for child data

The account owner can manage child profiles and related app data inside DailyHero.

A parent or guardian may ask us to review, export, correct, or delete child profile data by using the in-app tools or by contacting support@dailyhero.ink.

If United States children’s privacy rules apply, parents can contact us to review or delete a child’s personal information and to prevent further collection by closing the relevant child profile or account.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encrypted transmission, managed cloud infrastructure, access controls, and separation of production and development environments.

No app or internet service can guarantee perfect security.

13. Third-party privacy policies

Third-party services may process data under their own privacy policies:

14. Changes

We may update this Policy when the app, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change.

If a change is important, we will try to notify users by reasonable means, such as updating this page or showing a notice in the app.
